- Perform research under the instruction of Dr. Tracy Haynes and Dr. Katia Del-Rio Tsonis
- Prepare slides and staining procedures for various tests to be done on embryonic chicks
- Learning proper lab techniques and data collection used in potential retinal regeneration and its associated cellular pathways
Intern with Miami University Football February 2013 - Current
– Current -Worked in various roles throughout my time with the team and coaching staff
-Maintained an Excel database for all opposing teams injuries, suspensions, players leaving, and the like
-Currently work with Tight Ends Coach/Recruiting Coordinator: assist with finding and evaluating players in his recruiting area, aid equipment and coaching staff during on-field practices, and meet with recruits during game day visits
Intern with LaBrae High School Athletic Director December 2013 – January 2014
-Spent nearly 50 hours working directly under the AD’s supervision
-Worked with the AD on eligibility issues
-Assisted with game day operations including selling tickets, working with referees, set up and tear down
-Included work with all high school and junior high basketball teams
Intern at PLAY Today Ohio June 2014 – Current
-Work with an Ohio event website to update their sports page on a weekly basis
-Formulate and maintain a list of potential sponsors and business from various Ohio cities
-Find and promote various sports related events throughout Ohio
Intern with Lakeview High School Athletic Director December 2014 – January 2015
-Worked with the AD and other administration members on behind the scenes work, as opposed to game day -Assisted in giving input for real problems in the school involving athletes and punishment, etc.
- Learned best practice methods from one of the premier athletic directors in Trumbull County
-Discussed various issues that Ads and administrators face in today’s schools: students, scheduling, parental conflicts, referees, etc.

- Observed and occasionally taught 9th grade biology course: Honors and College Prep
- Used this as preparation and practice for student teaching and introducing inquiry in the classroom
Field Placement at Carlisle Middle School Fall Semester 2014
-Placed in an 8th grade science class
-Observed and instructed on various occasions
-Focused on seeing best practice examples in a classroom setting and adapting instruction in a relatively poor district
Service Learning at New Miami Middle School Spring Semester 2014
-Tutored 7th grade students in additional math help
-Used various technologies in the library to provide alternative methods of instruction
Service Learning at Crawford Woods Elementary School Spring Semester 2013
-Assisted in a kindergarten class in an urban setting
-Gained exposure to various techniques with dealing with simultaneity in the classroom

Buckeye Boys’ State Counselor June 2013 and June 2014
-Work with1,200 of the best and brightest boys from the state of Ohio in a 10-day camp designed and run by the American Legion to promote patriotism, democracy, and create lifelong friendships
-Worked specifically in the School Board section of government and worked with a city of approximately 30 boys
Interim Youth Minister June 2013 – August 2013
-Worked as youth pastor at my church following my first year at Miami University until a full-time replacement could be found; scheduled events, lessons, and trips throughout the summer
University Honors Program Peer Facilitator August 2013 – December 2013
-Mentored and introduced a group of approximately 20 Honors students to the requirements of the University Honors program, transitioning to college, and other various issued that they faced as first year college students
